Vehicle Impounds
A vehicle release must be obtained in person at the Santa Ana Unified School District Police Department
The following information and documents will be required:-
The registered owner or their agent must be present with a VALID driver's license

If the registered owner does not possess a driver's license, he/she must have a valid California D.M.V. Identification Card

Proof of current registration for the impounded vehicle
- A $125.00 fee to be paid by MONEY ORDER or CASHIERS CHECK or CREDIT CARD - ONLY - for the release of the vehicle Acceptable Credit Cards: VISA, MASTERCARD & DISCOVER

Post Storage HearingsCalifornia Vehicle Code Section 22852 provides the vehicle's registered and legal owner or record, or their agents, with the opportunity for a Post Storage Hearing to determine the validity of the storage. The owners, or their agents, shall request the hearing in person, in writing, or by telephone.
