Dear Parents, This year our school is participating in college and career readiness. This means that our entire student population is encouraged to wear a t-shirt representing a university every Wednesday. It is not mandatory but is encouraged. Dear Families,
We are well into our first trimester and I am so proud of our students already! They are working hard in all subjects and are taking responsibility for their learning! They are participating in Restorative Circles and are learning the Stop and Think Curriculum to foster Social/Emotional development. During October, our character trait theme of the month is "Acceptance and Tolerance". Please engage in rich dialogue with your children on this topic at home as well! This year, we will be having our first Halloween Costume Parade on October 31st! More information will be sent home with your child so that you can come to school and participate! Students who do not wish to participate will be provided with a special activity to do while the parade is going on.
Remember to have your students take advantage of Reading Plus/Lexia and St-Math (JiJi) at home for at least one hour a week in each program! You will see tremendous growth academically! Make it fun! You ticket to play video games or watch T.V., etc.  is to complete 20 minutes per day in JiJi or Lexia, for example!
