  • College T-Shirt on Wednesdays

Dear Parents, This year our school is participating in college and career readiness. This means that our entire student population is encouraged to wear a t-shirt representing a university every Wednesday. It is not mandatory but is encouraged. If students wear a university t-shirt, they may wear jeans with the shirt instead of uniform pants. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

This new visitor management system will allow us to monitor all visitors in our school and provide us with a safer environment for our students and staff. Principal's Message

  • love my school

    John Adams Families,

What a wonderful year we experienced togther! Thank you, to all of our families for supporting your children's education at home! Our students celebrated success at our final trimester awards assembly and in their classrooms with many celebrations! Students set "stretch goals" for themselves on the MAP test in reading and math, and so many of them made their personalized goals! They enjoyed this achievement with a "Flash Mob" party on the blacktop with me! We had so much fun and performed our Flash Mob at our final morning assembly. Parents, and caregivers- we want to ask for your help in preventing what we call "The Summer Slide". Oftentimes, when students return to school after summer vacation, we see a huge dip in their reading level and math proficiency. We ask that you make sure your children read the books we sent home to borrow and complete the summary sheets. Also, make sure to have them continue to use Lexia or Reading Plus along with JiJi over the summer! This will help prevent them from forgetting all they've learned this year. Also, take them to the public library and check out additional books! Practice math facts with flash cards! Give them problems to solve when you're in the market or restaurant! Ask them to tell you all about the books they are reading, even if he/she needs to translate for you! This verbal practice will help with their comprehension. And plese have lots of fun together this summer, making memories! See you on August 12th! The list of teacher assignements will be posted on Friday, August 9th, after 12:00 p.m. on the gate. Thank you for being amazing parents and caregivers!
