    Uniform guidelines

    1.     Model of dress for girls:

    v Plain white, red, navy or light blue shirts/ blouses with sleeves and a collar, tucked in at the waist.

    v Navy blue or khaki pleated skirts, culottes, skorts, bermuda shorts, jumpers, or slacks. NO jeans, skinny pants or leggings.

    v Plain navy blue, red, or white sweater, jacket or sweatshirt (no logos)

    v Navy blue or white socks (at knee or below)

    v Navy blue vests are permitted when worn over a blouse/shirt

    2.            Model of dress for boys:

    v Plain white, red, navy, or light blue shirts with sleeves and a collar, tucked in at the waist.

    v Navy blue or khaki bermuda shorts, or slacks- NO jeans

    v Plain navy blue, white or red sweater, jacket or sweatshirt (no logos)

    v Navy blue or white socks (mid-calf or below)

    v Navy blue vests are permitted when worn over a blouse/shirt

    3.     General guidelines for school attire

    v Clothing should be not oversized or baggy.

    v Clothing must be free from tears, rips, holes, etc.

    v Pants must fit, cannot be oversized or baggy, and must be hemmed

    v There should be no visible initials, insignias, pictures, or logos on clothing, except for school logos when permitted

    v Shoes must be enclosed. Steel toes or are not to be worn. NO boots are allowed (except on rainy days ONLY rain boots are allowed)

    v Colored or thick shoe laces are not to be worn

    v Hats, bandanas, hairnets, and other headgear are not permitted. Only those students, with the approval from the principal because of medical/religious purposes may have an exception.

    v Jewelry is limited to small items.

    v Gang slogans and graffiti are not permitted on clothing, backpacks or purses.

    Adams t-shirts may ONLY be worn on Fridays.

    If a student does not follow the uniform policy, the student will be sent to the office, offered the correct uniform, and parents will be notified.
