Dear Parents and Staff:
I am thrilled to continue to serve as the principal of George Washington Elementary School during this 2017-18 school year. I am excited to continue the mission of the school as well as continue to build on the success we experienced at George Washington Elementary School last year. I am looking forward to collaborating with the Santa Ana Unified School District and our school community to ensure that we are successful in preparing our students for the future.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of holding various roles in education. I began my career as an educator at James Lick Middle School in San Francisco as the 8th grade language arts and social studies teacher for the Spanish Immersion program. I transitioned to teaching 3rd grade Spanish Immersion at El Sol Science and Arts Academy in Santa Ana, and took on the responsibility of developing the school-wide technology implementation program. Shortly after, I served as a founding member of the Orange County Educational Arts Academy and continued my role as a teacher, technology coordinator, and vice principal during my tenure. My career continued as principal of the Los Angeles Academy of Arts and Enterprise in downtown Los Angeles, and I spent three years, as the principal at Monroe Elementary School in San Francisco.
