  • Chromebook Information

We are encouraging all students in grades 4-8 to take advantage of the 1-to-1 Chromebooks provided in the classrooms. In order for the students to take the chromebooks home, they need to sign up for an insurance policy. We will be working with the PTA to collect the permission slips and insurance information. The cost for insurance coverage for the entire year is $21. Please drop by the office to ask about purchasing Chromebook insurance.

Principal's Message

  •  Kevin Tonai

    Dear Esqueda Community,

Welcome back to Manuel Esqueda K-8 School. I am pleased to be serving this community for another year. We are excited to announce the introduction of the full-day Kindergarten program. All schools in SAUSD will have full day programs for the Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten programs this year. The kinder students will be staying until 1:35 p.m. on most days and 1:00 p.m. on modified days. We hope to have more parents come in and get involved with our school through the many resources that will be offered at the Wellness Center. We would also like to say a warm welcome to our newest administrator Mr. Sam Perla who comes to us having served as the TOSA at Franklin Elementary. Also joining us this year is Mrs. Teri Davis. Mrs. Davis formerly served at Esqueda as a PE Teacher and TOSA. She is returning to us from Madison as Assistant Principal. We have many exciting programs in store for everyone! We look forward to offering our students the best education in Santa Ana.

    Have a fantastic year!

     Kevin Tonai
