Salutations! Welcome to Mr. Mares' 4th grade web page. I have been teaching 20 years now & loving it. Knowlegde, learning, respect & responsibility, as well as a little fun, are a big part of my classroom. I believe that students have the ability to gain insight & knowledge to take them as far as they want to go in life. In other words, " knowledge is power ". The students bring out the best in me & we all learn from each other.

     I graduated from U.C. Irvine in 1994 with a B.S. in History. Next I moved on to receive my Multi-Subject Professional Clear Credential from Concordia University in 1996. Later on in 2006, I completed my Master's at Cal State University, Fullerton, in the area of Counseling. In addition, I went on to complete my CLAD credential, which certifies me to work & educate students from diverse back grounds. I am a product of Bell High School in Los Angeles, CA ( 1987 ) and currently reside in Dana Point. My one claim to fame is that I am the owner of " Goalkitty " on Instagram.
