As many of you know, our schools are closed until April 13, 2020 due to the coronavirus. We wanted to let you know that we (the staff and I) are here to help every family at Walker. Teachers have communicated with students and parents to keep them up-to-date with what is going on in the district and the classrooms. Como ya todos saben, nuestras escuelas estan cerradas hasta el 13 de abril por el coronavirus. Queriamos comunicarles que todos (el personal de la escuela y yo) estamos aca para ayudar a cada familia de la Walker. Here is some important information regarding our school.
- School begins at 8:10 a.m. this school year for grades K - 5. Our first bell will ring at 8:05 a.m. and by 8:10 a.m. All students must be in their classrooms sitting at their desks and ready to begin their school day. Any students arriving after 8:10 a.m. will be considered tardy.
Grades 1 - 3 2:15 p.m.Grades 4-5 2:35 p.m.
- Dismissal times:
- Modified Days: Every Wednesday is a modified day at all elementary and intermediate schools, district-wide. The purpose of these modified days is to provide teachers with an opportunity to collaborate with one another to discuss instructional strategies for effective teaching. This means that Walker will release students early every Wednesday for the entire school year, August through May.
