The vision of SAUSD Arts Education is that every student receives arts instruction as a vital part of a well-rounded education in their broad course of study that prepares them, through their own path and transdisciplinary research in service of their ideas, to enter college and/or career with the technical and transferable skills they receive through arts discipline-specific education.  Through discrete and integrated arts learning, we are developing cultural and artistic literacies, visual, media, digital literacy, and content literacy in the arts connected to all subject areas for every child. Our goal is to support the whole child to access learning in unique, joyful, and experiential ways that will shape leaders and creative thinkers who are the innovators of tomorrow in the global sharing economy.
