On May 2, the Superior Court in Riverside ruled in favor of a lawsuit brought by the school district against its former employee health benefits consultants for failing to disclose millions of dollars in hidden commissions paid to them by Anthem Blue Cross. The court has ordered Kirk Montgomery and his associates (KMEBS) to repay SAUSD $2.4 million in restitution plus accruing interest. SAUSD has diligently pursued this case since 2004 and is extremely pleased with the outcome.
