Measure H - Proposed Term Limits for SAUSD Board of Education members
-
Measure H was placed on the ballot by the Governing Board of Education of the Santa Ana Unified School District. This measure, if approved by a majority of the votes cast on the measure, will limit the number of terms that a member may serve on the Board to three four-year term limits.
The Board consists of five members. Each member of the Board is elected for a four-year term. Currently, there is no limit to the number of terms that a member may serve on the Board. The three-term limit would be a lifetime limit that applies to non-consecutive terms. This means a person who has served three terms as a member of the Board could not serve for an additional term as a member of the Board.
This measure, if approved by a majority of the votes cast on the measure, will limit the number of terms that a member may serve on the Board to three four-year terms.
