To provide the best possible custodial services to our school sites, we have implemented the Team Cleaning Program at our elementary school sites. We are requesting that the school sites also join the team by completing the following tasks before leaving your classrooms for the day:


    ·        Stack all chairs in the corner of the room

    ·        Pick up all large debris such as pencils, crayons, and large pieces of paper

    ·        Put your waste basket next to the door before leaving for the day


    These simple tasks will allow more time for our team members to focus on cleaning your school sites daily. As you are aware budget reductions have forced us to operate with limited resources in the Maintenance and Operations Department. The team cleaning concept will provide the following benefits:


    ·        Safety in numbers – custodians work as a team

    ·        Substitute coverage is easier with the team concept

    ·        Scheduling of equipment for seasonal cleaning is more efficient

    ·        Districtwide cleaning standards implemented

    ·        Supervision is much more effective


    As with any new program, there will be obstacles along the way. However, I am confident that working together we will accomplish our goal to ensure all facilities are safe, effective, and well-maintained learning environments for our students and staff.  Thank you in advance for your support in working with the new cleaning agenda.
