Enrollment Information for Segerstrom High School
The process to enroll a current 8th grade student for the 9th grade
Typically mid January SAUSD will release an information flyer with detailed directions on how to enroll a student at either Segerstrom High School or Godinez Fundamental High School. The flyer provides families with step by step instructions including dates, times and documentation that is required in order to register a student. The flyer also provides specific instructions for those families living inside the Segerstrom High School residential boundaries (Priority Registration) and for those families living outside the Segerstrom High School residential boundaries (Lottery Process).
During January the flyer is available for pick up at Segerstrom High School and Godinez Fundament High School as well as all SAUSD Intermediate schools. Families can also visit the SAUSD, Segerstrom and Godinez websites to find a PDF version of the flyer for download. To ensure that information is consistent, no information about enrollment guidelines is given over the phone during this time period.
How to add a student to Segerstrom High School Wait Lists during COVID-19
Segerstrom High School currently has a Resident and Non-Resident wait list for each grade level. To place a student on a wait list a parent or legal guardian must email a current proof of address no older than two months in either mom or dad’s name (acceptable forms of proof are any utility bill or bank statement) to salvador.lopez@sausd.us.
If the utilities are not in either mom or dad’s name, a parent may email a letter from the primary resident with the parent’s name(s), their child’s name and the address clearly listed along with a utility bill in the same name as the primary resident who signs the letter. Families may also use a Letter of Residency Declaration Form (available in the Pupil Support Services website) signed by the primary resident in place of a handwritten letter along with a utility bill in the same name as the primary resident who signs the form.
