Hello Everyone!!

My name is Selena Qafaiti and this is my sixth year teaching at Segerstrom High School. I currently teach English 11 CP and Yearbook. This is my fourth year teaching yearbook. I became a teacher because I wanted to work with young adults and be able to positively influence them. In my English classes, students are expected to complete a number of tasks and assignments. Students will be able to work independently and with their peers to support one another. Students will be reading, writing, and practicing the English language. Yearbook is a student-driven class where students work together to create the pages of the yearbook. 

I graduated from Cal-State Fullerton with my Bachelor's degree in 2016, my teaching credential in 2017, and my Master's in 2022. My BA is in English, while my MA is in Secondary Education.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite activities include going to Disneyland, reading, traveling, watching TV, and trying out new foods.
