• COLLEGE PREPARATION OVERVIEW

     

    Segerstrom High School’s curriculum and focus is based on preparing students for post-secondary education.  The University of California “a-g” subject admission coursework guides the selection of courses in the school’s curriculum.     The Counseling Department is dedicated to supporting the college bound student.  In addition to the high level of instruction in the classroom, the Higher Education Center (HEC) plays a significant role in providing the resources and assistance to reach the college dream. 

     

    Higher Education Center (HEC)

     

    The Higher Education Center (HEC) is designed to be both a student and parent centered one-stop information and service center, with the purpose of increasing the number of students who pursue post-secondary education.  This one-stop center serves as a resource for counselors, teachers, parents, students and higher education partners.

    ·        College Application Process and Workshops

    ·        College Admission Testing and Preparation

    ·        Scholarship information

    ·        College Visitations
