Hello! My name is Korbin Bandy, and I'm excited to be a part of the Segerstrom staff! This is my eighth year teaching, and I love getting students engaged with history. In all of my classes, students will be able to engage with history instead of just memorizing it. Students will be asked to collaborate, discuss, and share their thoughts frequently. I strongly believe in the importance of collaboration and the growth that occurs when people work together.

In World History, students will focus on the changes that took place across the world from the 1600s to present day. In doing so, we will focus heavily on the personal impacts of various events and leaders while trying to apply the lessons of the past to our modern world. In Ethnic Studies, students will learn about themselves, their communities, and their peers. Together, we will engage in various projects and lessons that will help us all understand our personal communities and the communities of our ancestors and peers. Lastly, in AP Gov we will take a deep dive into the inner workings of the American government in preparation for the College Board AP Exam. Students will be asked to work together to analyze the functions, trends, and interactions between the various parts of our government.
