Criteria to Receive Seal Upon High School Graduation
1. Complete all high school graduation requirements.
2. Score Proficient or Advanced in English Language Arts on the California Standards Test (junior year).
3. Maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher in English Language Arts by first semester of senior year.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in one or more world languages, other than English, through one of the language proficiency options listed below:
Language Proficiency Options
a) Passing AP SPANISH LANGUAGE or AP SPANISH LITERATURE with a score of 3 or higher.
b) Successful completion of a four-year high school course of study in a foreign language, and attainment of an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher in that course of study(Excellent grades in LAC A & LAC B)
c) Passing SAT II Spanish subject test
d) Passing a district-approved language examination in a language other than English.
