 Course Description: 
Biology standards implemented are inclusive with a laboratory setting where the students practice experimental procedures using the scientific method with safety requirements as part of the science class.  Students gain content knowledge with built-in accommodations for the course by utilizing chrome book technology and research-based learning and direct instruction.  Students will master critical thinking skills to perform laboratory experimentation and projects with exploration of topics to expand knowledge with projects.  Also, integrated support with built-in supportive technology with devices to engage students with cooperative & collaborative learning activities directed with science a-g expectations for sophomores with an environmental studies background.

 Guidelines:

-chrome book mandatory, prepared for class, assignments timely, projects, presentations, laboratory reports 

-maintain laboratory notebook with assignments with chromebook and a sausdlearns account activated

-demonstrate participation as required with lab partners and groups to investigate using scientific method of discovery

-research based methods of curricular content, quizzes and exams are no surprise on Wednesdays

-homework assignments are assigned for incomplete or late classroom assignments by the next day  

-project based learning and laboratory assignments are finished by the end of the week 

-knowledge of CHS (commitment, honor, success), PBIS & MTSS supported 

-know classroom guidelines & procedures, lab safety and best practices are required
