    February 22, 2011 Board appointed Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to conduct the search for a new superintendent.
    February 25, 2011 Board Planning Meeting – Time 3:00 p.m., District Office Board Room
    March 16 - 17, 2011 Leadership profile focus groups, consultants meet with staff, parents, Board members, community members and local officials designated by The Board of Education to receive feedback.

    By appointment from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. by calling (714) 558-5512 or Community Forum to be held at 7:00 p.m. at the District Office Board Room.
    March 28, 2011 Special Board meeting to present and review leadership profile report and finalize criteria for superintendent search at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office Board Room.
    March 31, 2011 Consultants develop job description and advertise where requested by the Board of Education.
    April 4 - May 6, 2011 Start recruiting process.
    May 6, 2011 Recommended application deadline - applications will be accepted until position is filled.
    May 6 - May 20, 2011 Review applications and conduct background checks.
    May 25, 2011 Top candidates interviewed by the consultants.
    May 30 - June 3, 2011 Conduct extensive background checks on those that will be presented to the Board of Education.

    Closed Meeting    		 Special Board Meeting for consultants to meet with the Board of Education to identify finalists and to plan initial interviews and develop questions. Location - District Office Board Room at 7:00 p.m.
    This meeting is not open to public.
    June 20, 2011
    8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

    June 21, 2011
    11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.    		 Board interviews slate of first round finalists. The Board will meet with consultants at the conclusion of the final interviews; consultants will conduct extensive background checks on the finalists.

    June 29 - June 30, 2011 Second interview with the Board of Education:
    Two Board members will escort the final candidates to visit schools and then reconvene for an informal interview.
    Location/Time for interviews TBD.
    TBD Board selects their top candidate for Superintendent.
    TBD Board of Education visits district of the finalist
    TBD Santa Ana Board of Education extends an offer of employment.
