Santa Ana Unified School District Student from Lathrop Intermediate School Wins ‘Go Safely California’ Art Contest
The Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education on January 14, 2020 recognized Jackelyn Murillo, a student at Lathrop Intermediate School, for winning third place in the eighth grade category for the statewide Go Safely California Art poster contest.
She competed with students from across California and her artwork is on display at the Go Safely California website.
The Go Safely poster contest is part of the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), which provides all ages throughout the state with guidelines on traveling, whether it is driving, walking, or riding a bike.
Our Santa Ana students are reminded through this creative contest, ways to practice getting to and from our unified schools. Ms. Murillo has shown her pride for the Santa Ana Unified School District and excitement to the important message behind her artwork.
