Santa Ana Unified School District Student Named National Winner in 2019 Reach for the Stars Rocketry Competition

Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School student Emmanuel Florentino was recognized as a National Winner in the 2019 Reach for the Stars Rocketry Competition at a ceremony at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Alabama on Oct. 19, 2019.

While in Alabama, he launched a rocket from the Homer Hickam launch pad and spent the day at Space Camp.

He was accompanied by Mr. Garrett, Mrs. Earl, Alexander Gutierrez, and his sister, Elizabeth Segura.
