The SAUSD Board of Education this week recognized Rocio Anguiano as the District’s Classified Employee of the Month for September 2019. Anguiano is a Payroll Specialist in the Payroll Department.
Her efforts to assist and provide support to over 500 Activity Monitors who recently became part of the bargaining unit is impressive.
Mrs. Anguiano quickly created processes and provided training to help make their transition seamless. She took the time to ensure they understood their new time and attendance role and how it affects their pay. She also worked closely with the site and departments to make sure everyone understood the changes.
It is how she did this that is so commendable, she was patient and kind with each employee she worked with. She has a great attitude and always goes out of her way to provide exceptional customer service to everyone and she makes sure they are comfortable with the answers they receive.
Mrs. Anguiano has worked as a Payroll Specialist for the last year. Before becoming the Payroll Specialist, she worked as a Payroll Technician, Accounting Technician and Clerical Sub.
She has been with SAUSD since 2008.
