Lisa Morgan, Instructional Coach at Advanced Learning Academy
Good evening Superintendent Almendarez, Members of the Board, Members of the Cabinet, Ladies, and Gentlemen:
With great pleasure and pride, I present Ms. Lisa Morgan, Instructional Coach at Advanced Learning Academy as the October 2024 Certificated Employee of the Month.
We are honored to recognize Lisa Morgan as the Certificated Employee of the Month.
We are so proud and honored to have Lisa Morgan, Instructional Coach at Advanced Learning Academy, to be working with us. She has single-handedly built the school wide AVID program from the ground up, demonstrating unwavering commitment to both students and staff. Lisa goes above and beyond. For example, she met a parent in the parking lot of the 7-11 at 6:15 a.m. to accommodate their schedule and to spend time talking about the importance of grade checks and parent involvement. On Friday mornings before school, you can find her helping students improve their PE grades by running the mile with them. As a mentor to her fellow teachers, she fosters a collaborative environment where they can observe and learn from one another. Lisa also dedicates countless hours to working with AVID tutors, ensuring they provide the essential support that our students need to thrive. Her tireless efforts and genuine passion for education make her an invaluable asset to our school community.

I am honored to recognize Mr. Juan Carlos Delgado as the October 2024 Classified Employee of the Month due to his outstanding dedication to our school community. He consistently prioritizes the well-being of our students by ensuring the campus is not only clean but also a safe and welcoming environment. He goes above and beyond to maintain our site in top condition, taking initiative and demonstrating a strong sense of pride in his work. What sets him apart is his proactive approach. He not only completes his regular duties with excellence but also anticipates and addresses potential maintenance issues before they escalate. Whether it's ensuring the playground equipment is ready for students or addressing safety concerns by removing graffiti or pressure washing dusty areas, his attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe campus are unparalleled. He is also vigilant about security, quickly contacting school police if he notices any suspicious activity. He treats every student, parent, and staff member with the utmost respect and courtesy, and his positive attitude never wavers, even on the busiest days. His excellent attendance and dependable nature further reflect his commitment to the school. His efforts significantly contribute to the overall success and pride of our school, making him an invaluable asset to our community. His initiative, hard work, and unwavering dedication truly deserve recognition.
