National Hispanic Heritage Month takes place September 15 to October 15 every year as a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community.
In the Santa Ana Unified School District, the Board of Education has adopted a resolution proclaiming Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, 2023, as National Hispanic Heritage Month.

In addition, the SAUSD Board of Education also recently passed a resolution proclaiming August 2023 as Chicano/a/x Heritage Month, in celebration of the population's significant accomplishments and contributions.
