The Santa Ana Unified School District inducted eight honorees into its Athletic Wall of Fame during the 2023 induction ceremony on Sept. 18, 2023 at the Santa Ana Public Schools Sports Complex.
Board Member Katelyn Brazer Aceves joined district students, staff, leadership, alumni and community members for the afternoon recognition ceremony.
The following recipients, or representatives of the following recipients, were honored during the event:
- Nina Alexander, Century High School, Class of 1993 Athlete: Basketball
- Manny Herrera, Saddleback High School, Class of 1983 Athlete: Wrestling
- Joseph (Shane) Holloway, Saddleback High School, Class of 1992 Athlete: Wrestling
- Larry Lutz, Santa Ana High School, Class of 1932 Athlete: Football
- Fernando Serratos, Santa Ana High School, Class of 1997 Athlete: Wrestling
- Brenda Steele Matthews, Santa Ana Valley High School, Class of 1967 Athlete: Softball & Track
- Alonzo Jamison, Santa Ana Valley High School, Class of 1986 Athlete: Basketball
