SAUSD Celebrates Culmination of $17 Million Modernization Project at Century High School with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Tour

The Santa Ana Unified School District on March 8, 2023 celebrated the conclusion of a $17 million modernization project at Century High School with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Board Clerk Hector Bustos, Superintendent Jerry Almendarez and other district leadership joined parents, students and staff for the afternoon gathering at the school.
After the ceremony, community members had the opportunity to tour the renovated spaces.
The project was mostly paid for using state funds and Measure I bond monies.
It included:
- Modernization of and improvements to the 100, 200, 300, 400, 600, and 700 buildings
- Full modernization of the Administration building, Library, Faculty Lounge, and ASB classroom
- Creation of a new Spyder Lab, Engineering Lab, E-Business Suite, gym bleachers, Fire Alarm, and PA systems
Additionally, all restrooms on campus were upgraded to meet the current ADA standards.
