SAUSD Board of Education Recognizes Employees of the Month for November 2020

The SAUSD Board of Education on Nov. 10 recognized the Employees of the Month for November 2020: Jose Manuel Garcia and Matilda “Matty” Barriga.

The Certificated Employee of the Month for November 2020 is Jose Manuel Garcia, an ROP Teacher CTE from Santa Ana Valley High School.

Katie Mitchell-Berger, Principal of Valley High School, had this to say about him: 

“Jose Garcia is a product of SAUSD and Valley High School. In his role as an instructor in the New Media Academy, he is inspiring a new generation of Valley students and has been a vital support to Valley High School in the successful transition to remote learning.”

The Classified Employee of the Month for November 2020 is Matilda “Matty” Barriga, School Office Manager at Santa Ana Valley High School.

Mitchell-Berger had this to say about her: 

“Matilda “Matty” Barriga, is the heart of Valley High School, a true leader who provides crucial support to all of our Falcon students, families, and staff, all with dedication, patience, and a smile on her face.”
