Artwork by Saddleback High School Students Featured in Traveling Countywide Exhibit
Artwork by two Saddleback High School students was recently selected by the Orange County Department of Education and VSA Orange County to be a part of their annual traveling art exhibit, “Arts on the Move.”
“Willy is Kind,” by Timothy Hammett and “Super Friends,” by Brandon Salgado were included.
While every entry is accepted to the initial VSA Orange County exhibition, only a few selected pieces are chosen to be part of the traveling art exhibit.
Hammett’s piece was also named the VSA Festival Themed Art Winner.
Last spring, Hammett’s work was selected to represent the entire festival, on posters and all other promotional materials. This is the second year in a row that a Saddleback student has been selected as the festival winner.
The traveling show, which featured select pieces from the 2020 VSA Festival, was showcased virtually by museums, businesses and cultural centers across Orange County that helped shine a light on artists with disabilities for Disability Awareness Month.
