LA Charger Isaac Rochell Visits Heroes, Makes Special Donation Through His Non-Profit “Local Human”
Isaac Rochell, a defensive end who plays for the Los Angeles Chargers, visited Heroes Elementary School on Wednesday to make a special donation through his charity “Local Human.”
Rochell donated t-shirts and school supplies to the students in Maria Martinez’s kindergarten and first grade class, including a keyboard for Martinez. Rochell greeted the students as they logged on for distance learning who were very excited to meet him virtually.
Rochell, whose mother is a fifth-grade teacher, realized during the current COVID-19 pandemic that kids are missing the social interaction and connections that bring joy to us all. Along with a couple of his neighbors, he soon started his non-profit, “Local Human.” His charity focuses on offering social-emotional support for teens and the elderly during isolation.
Rochell was born and raised in Georgia. He played football and graduated from Notre Dame. He currently lives in Huntington Beach and is in his fourth year with the Los Angeles Chargers.
