Senior Class President
DEFINITION: The senior class president is mainly responsible for understanding the needs of the class for the year and what it takes to lead the class through the events. In order to do this, the president needs to identify the leaders within the class, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and recruit/motivate to make them the chairpersons for each event sponsored by the class. This position is one of overseeing the efforts of man, and developing a team spirit, all working towards the goal of serving each senior with good events. In the process, class meetings are used. The president leads from an up front position at the same time modeling the willingness, effort to work hard.DUTIES:
1. Attends the School Site Council Meetings.
2. Develop the process for and implementing the selection of a complete class council.
3. Scheduling, planning, conducting and presiding over all class meetings, and having an agenda for each
4. Develop and implement the selection of chairpersons for all major events.
5. Supervise all Chairpersons of senior events.
6. Responsible for encouraging, motivating and praising all fellow class officers.
7. Serve as Chairperson for the Senior Showdown.
8. Assist the clerical staff with the Commencement Ceremonies.
9. Organize and implement all Class reunions at the proper time (5 year, 10 year, 20 year, and 50 year).
10. Serve as an observer at the Representative Assembly Meeting.
11. Attend daily leadership class and weekly business meetings.
12. Use and maintain working notebook.
13. Use and maintain master notebook.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Maintain a grade point average of 3.0 for each grading period from time of petitioning for the job until your final grading period.
2. Maintain eligibility according to district eligibility rules.
3. Must have been in ASB for a minimum of one year.
4. Enroll in Leadership Class.
5. Extra time available before and after school.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
1. Must be a good student role model.
2. Must be a confident speaker in front of large groups.
3. Must be able to delegate authority and support others in completing their tasks.
4. Must be able to communicate effectively with others (peers and adults).
5. Must be able to manage time well and have time outside of leadership class.
Senior Class Vice-President
DEFINITION: The Senior Class Vice-President is the assistant to the Senior Class President and second in command for all class activities. The Senior Class Vice-President is the spirit leader for all senior activities.
DUTIES:
1. Attends School Site Council Meetings when Senior President is unable to attend.
2. Assist in developing the process for and implementing the selection of a complete class council.
3. Assist the senior class president with all their job duties.
4. Serve as an observer at the Representative Assembly Meeting.
5. Attend daily leadership class and weekly business meetings.
6. Use and maintain working notebook.
7. Use and maintain master notebook.
QUALIFICATIONS:
