Freshman Class President
DEFINITION: The Freshman Class President is mainly responsible for understanding the need of the class for the year and what it takes to lead the class through events. In order to do this the president needs to identify the leaders within the class, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and recruit/motivate them to become the chairpersons of events sponsored by the class. This position is one of overseeing the efforts of many, causing team spirit, all working toward a goal of serving each sophomore with good events. In the process class meetings are used. The president leads from an up front position and at the same time modeling the willingness and the effort to work hard.
DUTIES:
1. Serve as chairperson of the class council and leading, holding, and announcing class meeting. They must have an agenda for each meeting.
2. Schedules all class events in the master calendar.
3. Development and implementation of the process by which a fair and balanced class council is chosen.
4. Oversee all class events, working with the event Chairperson.
5. Encourages and motivates other officers.
6. Serve as an observer at the Representative Assembly Meeting.
7. Attend daily leadership class and weekly business meetings.
8. Aid at least ten freshmen with their service-learning requirement.
9. Use and maintain working notebook.
10. Use and maintain master notebook.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Maintain a grade point average of 3.0 for each grading period from time of petitioning for the job until your final grading period.
2. Maintain eligibility according to district eligibility rules.
3. Enroll in Leadership Class.
4. Extra time available before and after school.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
1. Must be a good student role model.
2. Must be a confident speaker in front of large groups.
3. Must be organized and be able to delegate authority.
4. Must be able to manage and motivate people effectively.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively with others (peers and adults).
6. Must be able to manage time well and have time outside of leadership class.
Freshman Class Vice-President
DEFINITION: The Freshman Class Vice-President is mainly responsible for assisting the Freshman President in understanding the needs of the class for the year and what it takes to lead the class through the events. This position is one of overseeing the efforts of many, and causing a team spirit. The Freshman Vice-President is the spirit leader of the freshman class.
DUTIES:
1. Assists in the selection balance of the class council.
2. Assists with scheduling the class meetings schedules.
3. Fills in for the President as needed. For example: running class meetings as the president requests.
4. Encourages, motivates, and praises fellow freshman.
5. Serve as an observer at the Representative Assembly Meeting.
6. Attend daily leadership class and weekly business meetings.
7. Aid at least ten freshmen with their service learning requirement.
8. Use and maintain working notebook.
9. Use and maintain master notebook.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Freshman Representative
DEFINITION: The Freshman Representative is the assistant to the Freshman Class President and Vice President and third in command for all class activities.
DUTIES:
1. Take notes during all class meetings and plan class fundraisers.
2. Assist in developing the process for and implementing the selection of a complete class council.
3. Assist the freshman class president with all their job duties.
4. Serve as an observer at the Representative Assembly Meeting.
5. Attend daily leadership class and weekly business meetings.
6. Aid at least ten freshmen with their service learning requirement.
7. Use and maintain working notebook.
8. Use and maintain master notebook.
