    COVID-19 Related Sick Leave Benefit

    If an employee is subject to a quarantine or isolation period related to COVID-19, the employee may be entitled to COVID-19 related sick leave. COVID-19 related sick leave is not taken from an employee's personal sick/vacation leave balance, unless if the employee has already exhausted their COVID-19 related sick leave.  An employee must also report their COVID-19 sick leave/absence to the COVID Task Force over the FLAIRZ App, email, or phone.  The COVID Task Force will be able to determine if contact tracing is needed, depending on the reason the employee is requesting COVID-19 sick leave.  An employee may see their COVID-19 related sick leave balance through the Frontline application or by contacting their payroll technician.  See below for more information regarding this benefit, which was provided under the California 2021 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave.
