     COVID Dashboard

    Santa Ana Unified School District and its schools are committed to providing accurate and transparent information regarding COVID-19 cases on our campuses, while also maintaining privacy and confidentiality for our students and staff. The data below represents the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among district students and staff on our campuses (in-person instruction and/or activities only).  This data will be updated weekly. In the event of a positive case, school communities will be notified directly by their principals or school staff.

    We will continue to report confirmed cases of COVID-19 in students and staff present on those campuses for reasons other than in-person instruction (e.g. athletics or staff on campus working in the office or teaching distance learning from their classroom).

    Case Reporting, Contact Tracing and Investigation

    SAUSD will continue to investigate, contact trace and report COVID-19 cases to the local public health department as required.  Confirmed positive COVID-19 cases will also be inputted, on a weekly basis, on the SAUSD COVID Dashboard.

    SAUSD will notify staff members, students, parents, or visitors of a COVID-19 positive case that was present, during their infectious period, at a SAUSD site that the staff members, students, parents, or visitor were present.  After SAUSD completes its contact tracing investigation, SAUSD will contact individual(s) that had close contact with the person that tested positive for COVID-19.  SAUSD will proceed with the required guidelines set by CDC, state, and/or OC Health Care Agency for the individual(s) identified as a close contact(s).  

    Per CDC, state, and/or OC Health Care Agency, close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of an individual with COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more cumulative within 24 hours
