Hello Jaguar family! I'm excited to get to know you and your students this school year and wanted to share some information about myself. I've been teaching for 13 years now and love it more each year. I've moved around a bit and have taught in different places during my years in the classroom. I've taught from grade 6 to grade 10 and have learned a lot along the way. Students quickly learn I have high expectations for them and that I am always available to help them when they are dealing with a struggle. 

I have a passion for teaching and began my journey in college at Long Beach State University. I earned my degree in English Education and quickly received my teaching credential to begin my work in my classroom. I wasn't done learning though and after a few years, I decided to go back to school to get my master's degree in Curriculum & Design. I continue to educate myself with trainings and opportunities at my site to better meet the needs of my students.

On a personal level, I am the mother of a rambunctious and loving 8-year-old son and a 2-year-old baby girl who we welcomed into our family in March of 2020.

Times are difficult and we are definitely in uncharted areas with education. I know how important family and compromise is so feel free to email me to talk about any concerns you may have so that I can make my classroom more accommodating for you and your students.
