For as long as I can remember, I have loved languages. As a child, I was exposed to various languages including Hungarian, Romanian, Hebrew and Portuguese. I love the sound of languages and the way that languages help us connect with other people and their cultures. It was logical for me to study Comparative Literature and Spanish in college. My junior year at U.C. Irvine, I participated in an education abroad program in Alcalá de Henares, Spain.
I initially began my teaching career as an English teacher at Saddleback High School. For nine years, I taught high school English. I then transitioned to high school Spanish. Currently, I teach first and second year Spanish to non-native students. During my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family. We also love to read, hike, cycle and try new food.
This is my twenty-third year as a classroom teacher and I love my job. I enjoy working with students and sharing with them my love for the Spanish language and cultures. During these difficult times, I hope to create a supportive community for my students.
