Meet Our Site Coordinator

I am Melissa Garcia, a proud product of SAUSD throughout my whole K-12 education; I attended Monroe Elementary, McFadden Intermediate and graduated from Century High School. I became a certified Massage Therapist to aid my abuelita’s aching muscles. I began working for the school district at Century High School in 2015 as an after-school Polynesian Dance instructor and 2018 as an SSP during the school day. As an alumni, I take pride in serving and connecting with students who grew up in the same community I did. I am humbled to be Century’s Site coordinator and have the opportunity to give more to my city. Additionally, I am a mother to a little girl who loves star wars and prefers the dark side, a cat lover and a plant mom.
