Securing the Human Cybersecurity Online Course
Website to Access Securing the Human Cybersecurity Course
This year, Santa Ana USD is beginning a new cyber-security awareness and behavioral change program named Securing the Human—an online learning program consisting of a series of videos to view and questions to answer.
This multi-faceted program is geared to support all staff and students to follow organizational policies and actively recognize, prevent, and report security incidents. We have teamed up with the Risk Management Office, the Human Resources Department, and the SANS organization to provide a sustainable and engaging program for all.
The course is broken into multiple video segments (2-5 minute chunks of content). You will simply need to watch the videos and answer the five questions that are presented subsequently.
We estimate that completing the course will take between 1.5 hours to 2 hours of your time.
Topics in the course include:
Secure password use
Secure use of email and messaging
Secure use of resources on the World Wide Web
Secure use of Wi-Fi networks
Secure data destruction
Protecting minors
Secure use of social networks
And others…
To access the course content, you will need to use the Canvas learning management system (LMS). All employees already have an account in the system. All employees with an @sausd.us email address have also already been sent an invitation to join the Securing the Human online class.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZXAOFxbkAAa0aCMxv6EIGmrIldnLb2TG2MKwIgAkhJQ/pub
