    Welcome wonderful students and families!

My philosophy stems from progressivism and the idea of hand-on learning.  I believe that students should be able to explore and discover new ideas and concepts in however way they learn best and be able to support their thinking and share their knowledge with their classmates.  I believe in cultivating an atmosphere of encouragement and respect in the classroom.  Every student is valuable to the classroom and has valuable input.  I strongly promote collaboration, critical thinking, and the idea of learning from others.  I hope to empower and motivate my students to become great learners and thinkers.  My goal is to have them take ownership of their learning, actively pursue knowledge and success, and become great citizens and leaders of our world.

    Here's to an amazing year!

Canvas, Google Classroom, and Grades in Aeries

    • I use Canvas for all assignments and grading.  Comments on assignments/grades are posted in Canvas.  Grades will then be transferred to Aeries.
    • Assignments in Canvas may include directions that have you use another program (such as Google Classroom) for a particular assignment.
      • For example, Google Classroom will be used for writing assignments and a few other programs that integrate better with it.
      • The assignment will still be graded in Canvas and the grade will transfer to Aeries.
