This is my twelvth year at Godinez High School, and I am REALLY excited about what the future may hold. The road that lead me here has been long and winding, and dropped me down pretty much where I started from. I am "locally grown," having been born and mostly raised in Orange County, with only minor detours to Virginia and Hawaii (both before the age of 7.) When it was time to head off to college, I couldn't wait to get away from home and try something new, and so went to UC San Diego, and earned a degree in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution. After coming home and working in outdoor education for a year, I headed off to UC Davis to earn my science teaching credential. I have taught outdoor education in Orange County and Santa Cruz, junior high in Orange County, and spent 6 years teaching Earth Science, Biology, and Anatomy at Saddleback High School. Along the way I have attended Semester At Sea twice, studying in and traveling to 20 different countries in Europe and the South Pacific, traveled to Central America and Africa for my Masters Degree, traveled to Europe, throughout the United States with friends and family, worked at summer camps on the East and West Coasts, danced, sung silly songs, learned constellations, read lots of fiction, played lots of cards, watched lots of TV, tried to learn Spanish, Russian, Sign Language, and Esperanto, been frustrated, been inspired, been sad, laughed until I cried, and everything in between.

I can hardly wait to see where the road will lead next!!
