Mr. Mazur
Hello, I'm Mr. Mazur, an Education Specialist at Godinez Fundamental High School. My passion lies in positively impacting the lives of high school students with mild and moderate disabilities.
Before my teaching career, I embarked on an exciting journey in the world of athletics. I was a collegiate and professional basketball player, proudly representing the University of Detroit. My basketball career took me to various countries, including Spain, Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Chile, Syria, and more. These experiences not only sharpened my athletic skills but also enriched my cultural awareness and appreciation for diversity.
Today, I use my background as an athlete and my experiences from around the world to create an inclusive learning environment for my students. I firmly believe that every person has their unique talents and potential. I'm dedicated to helping my students find and develop their strengths. I desire to be an advocate for my student's individual learning needs. My goal is to help them discover and foster their strengths and empower them to become advocates themselves. By doing so, I aspire to equip them with the skills and autonomy necessary for a successful journey beyond high school.
Outside of the school setting, you'll likely find me spending quality time with my family, passionately cheering on the Detroit Lions, and indulging in some binge-worthy TV shows.
I can't wait to see the incredible growth and achievements that this year holds for each of my students!
