      • History Faire Costumes
      • Hello Medieval Ladies and Gentlemen!

One of the most exciting parts about the Medieval History Faire for students is dressing up. ALL students need to dress up in Medieval style, or something resembling it, in order to participate. If students do not come to school dressed up they will have to sit in the library all day and do extra school work, instead of participating with their classmates in fun activities.

First of all, there is no need to go out and spend money on renting a costume. I'm going to suggest the easiest of costumes you can make on your own, and then list a few websites and videos for other suggestions.

Suggestion #1: A Medieval Knight. Take a large pillowcase, cut out a place to put your head and arms. On the front and back, draw a large cross. Voila! You are a knight.

Suggestion # 2: Wear sweats. Wear a longer shirt. Wear a belt on the outside of your shirt. You are a serf!

Suggestion # 3 Medieval Woman. Wear a blouse with ruffles. Wear a longer skirt. Voila! You are a medieval lady, or serf..

Suggestion #4: Search "MacArthur Middle School History Faire Costumes Images" online and you will see what former students have worn...

Suggestion #5: Check out this You Tube Video on Costume Ideas:
