Students at MacArthur are placed in math classes based on their test scores and grades. Classes are differentiated for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders as indicated below.
All students take MacArthur's Basic Skills Tests throughout the year. This test assesses the fundamental skills in mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in fractions, decimals, percents, and integers. It also includes questions on area, statistics, exponents, and proportions.
