    The California Community Colleges is the largest system of higher education in the nation, with 2.6 million students attending 112 colleges. Our colleges provide students with the knowledge and background necessary to compete in today’s economy. With a wide range of educational offerings, the colleges provide workforce training, basic courses in English and math, certificate and degree programs and preparation for transfer to four-year institutions.

  • Colleges That Change Lives

    To honor the 20th anniversary of the first edition of Loren Pope's classic book and the 10th anniversary of the nonprofit organization, Colleges That Change Lives has established a scholarship for students who enroll at a CTCL-member college or university. Six students were selected as the inaugural recipients in 2016. A donation today will help to make the scholarship an annual program and ensure that the CTCL experience becomes a reality for even more students.
