Welcome to Instrumental Music 2023-24! 

Welcome musical MacArthur Tigers and parents!  I am located in Room 38 and I teach band and orchestra.  I have been teaching here at MacArthur since 2008. Prior to teaching at MacArthur, I taught music at Greenville and several other elementary schools in Santa Ana. Students call me Ms. Holdcroft, but I am also known as Dr. Holdcroft since I have a doctorate from USC in music. I taught university students for a number of years before teaching in our Santa Ana schools. I love cats and monkeys, and besides playing band and orchestra instruments and piano, I love to sing.

Highlights of the year:

• Two big concert evenings with all 5 classes (2 orchestras and 3 bands), one in January and one in May...given at one of our high schools
• Performance at assemblies (advanced groups)
• Quad performances (all groups)
• Performance at festivals (advanced groups) Last year we performed at Music in the Parks festival in Placentia and then went to Knott's!! We also performed in the downtown Santa Ana festival.
• Performance for Open House and occasionally for Back to School night
