Mrs. Torres
Hello! I've been a mathematics teacher for Santa Ana Unified for 15 academic years. I have taught 6th grade math through Geometry, including a summer course of Algebra 2. I've taught at Spurgeon Intermediate (Romero-Cruz), Sierra Preparatory Academy, and currently at Godinez Fundamental High School.
Born and raised in Santa Ana, I always knew that I wanted to make a positive impact on my community. Growing up, I was fortunate to have great teachers and role models and I hope that I can also be a source of inspiration to my students.
After graduating from Century High School (2004), I embarked on my journey to UCI. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 2008, my Single Subject Teaching Credential in 2009, and my Master of Arts in Teaching in 2010; all at UCI, Zot Zot Zot! I also hold a CTE credential in Information and Communication Technologies (2021). I live in Santa Ana with my husband and 2 daughters. I often run into students, past and present, while shopping around the city. Feel free to say "Hi" if you spot me; my favorite place is Target!
