•    I teach US Government to 12th graders during the 1st [Fall] semester.  We discuss the birth of our democratic system, the importance of our founding fathers, the purpose & function of law and the responsibility of freedom.  The semester will be broken down into 6 Units, each unit comprised of assignment packets, quizzes, and a unit test.  In addition to the California State Standards we will take some time to enjoy the "John Adams" HBO series, and "America: the Story of Us" series.
       If you would like to get started on some EXTRA CREDIT, I will be accepting episode reviews of these series.  In these reviews you must briefly review the episode, then take at least three paragraphs relating the episode to our study of government.  This extra credit MUST be typed, 12 point font, over 1 page in length. You can earn up to 10 points each review, & no more than 30 points every 6 week grading period.
