Mr. Johan Arana
Mr. Johan Arana is currently the Family and Community Engagement Liaison at MacArthur Fundamental Intermediate School.
Johan Arana is a product of Santa Ana Unified School District. He attended Wilson Elementary, McFadden Intermediate, and graduated from Saddleback High School. After graduating high school, Mr. Arana went to the University of California at Santa Barbara. After graduating from UCSB in 2009, Mr. Arana moved back to his community in Santa Ana where he started volunteering in a 3rd grade classroom at Jim Thorpe Fundamental. Mr. Arana’s roots in Santa Ana have given him a deep understanding of the assistance and support that is needed around the community.
Mr. Arana’s career in education began as a Site Coordinator for after school programs with Think Together. He then moved on and started his first district job at Lincoln Elementary as a Site Clerk. Most recently, he worked as an Assessment and Data Specialist at Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School. Mr. Arana plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling in the near future.
During his free time, Mr. Arana enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and traveling. He enjoys attending community events in Santa Ana. If he is not spending time with family, hiking, or traveling, you might find him trying out a new eatery.
Mr. Arana will work passionately to provide links/connections between the school, home, and community agencies; making our students, families and community part of our Santa Ana Unified School district family. He will facilitate opportunities for community engagement that put our community, school staff, families', and students' well-being first, ensuring the students' overall wellness; health, social emotional, and academic success.
