    Summer School

Summer School Traditionally, SAUSD offers summer school for high school students needing credit recovery, California High School Exit Exam prep, and remedial instruction. The summer school program is designed for students attempting to recuperate course/credit for academic classes failed throughout the school year(s). The traditional high school summer program, usually beginning the last week of June to the end of July, is held at all comprehensive high schools. Students repeating coursework for a better grade in hopes of university admission may also attend, if space is available. The traditional summer school program is not designed to promote advancement of regular school requirements. A maximum of 10 credits is available for students; 5 credits per 3 week period.Information and enrollment applications are available in the Counseling Center (late May/early June).Cesar Chavez and/or Lorin Griset Academy Non graduating seniors and juniors with substantial credit/course deficiencies may apply to attend the alternative high school summer program. Students may achieve up to 25 credits with the successful completion of assigned coursework. Meet with a Godinez counselor to discuss the application process.
