Mr. Vaughan
Hello. My name is Jason Vaughan. I have been teaching and coaching in the Santa Ana Unified School District since 1996 (Lathrop Intermediate/Santa Ana Valley High School). Having grown up in the city of Santa Ana and attending SAUSD schools, it gives me great pride to be teaching in my hometown. Physical education and personal fitness/health are a very big part of my lifestyle and I have a passion for sharing this with my students.
After graduating from Santa Ana Valley High School in 1988, I attended Golden West Community College and earned an Associate Arts degree and earned a scholarship to play basketball at Concordia University of Irvine. At Concordia, I earned a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, as well as a teachers' credential. I finished my education at Azusa Pacific University, where I earned a Masters in Education (Physical Education).
I currently reside in the city of Orange, where I live with my wife of 24 years and daughter, who is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara. My interests outside of school are working out, golf, spending time with family and friends, and routing for my Los Angeles Rams!!!!
