    On A Hot(Rodders) Streak

The HotRodders Competition is one of the largest automotive competitions in the country. In teams of 5 the students must strip and rebuild an engine completely, calling out part names and details of the process while being micro-observed by multiple judges, and must complete everything in under 33 minutes!! Thanks to our High School Inc. business partners and their support, Valley High School's all-girls automotive competition team became the 1st place winners of the wild card slot! They beat out four other teams across the nation who were still in the running and will now be joining our other qualifying Valley team in the National HotRodders Competition taking place in Las Vegas at the SEMA Convention next fall. This will be the first time Valley, or any school from SAUSD, has sent two teams to compete at the national level, and is the first all-girls team ever to advance from this area! Congratulations!!!
